Benefit of durood shareef
بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ اَللّٰھُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدْ
Bismillahi Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammad
when the Holy Prophet ﷺ entered or left the Masjid he would recite this special Durood Sharif . This Durood is very easy. Read this to enter Mosque is Sunnah.
صَلَّ اللّٰہُ عَلٰی سَیِّدِ نَا مُحَمَّدِ وَّ اٰلہِ وَسَلَّمْ
Salla Allahu ‘ala Sayyidina Muhammadin wa sallam
It is said to be short in words but greatest in reward
Freedom from Hell
اَللّٰھُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدِنِ النَّبِیِّ الْاُمِّیِّ وَ عَلٰی اٰلہِ وَسَلِّمْ
Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin an-nabiyyil ummiyyi wa ‘ala aalihi wa sallam
Hazrat Khallad (رحمه الله) used to recite this Durood one thousand times every Friday. After his passing, a note was found under his pillow stating: “This is Khallad’s certificate of freedom from Hell.”
Benefit of Du rood
Debt Relief
اَللّٰھُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰ مُحَمَّدِوَّ عَلٰی اٰلِہِ وَ بَارِکْ وَ سَلِّمْ
Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin wa ‘ala aalihi wa baarik wa sallam
According to Zari’at-ul-Wusool , whoever regularly recites this Durood Sharif will, by its blessings, have all debts repaid easily through divine help.
A Place in Paradise
اَللّٰھُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰ مُحَمَّدِن النَّبِیِّ الْاُمِّیِّ عَلَیْہِ السَّلَامْ
Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin an-nabiyyil ummiyyi ‘alayhis-salaam
This blessed Durood is a means to gain a beautiful home in Paradise.
Protection of Faith (Iman)
اَللّٰھُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰ مُحَمَّدِوَّ عَلٰی اٰلِ مُحَمَّدِنْ صَلٰوۃَنْ دَآءِمَۃَم بِدَوَامِکَ
Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin wa ‘ala aali Muhammadin salaatan daa’imatan bidawaamika
Its recitation protects one’s faith from weakness and loss, bringing spiritual strength and peace to the heart.
Forgiveness of Sins
اَللّٰھُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰ مُحَمَّدِنْ کُلَّمَا ذَکَرَہُ الذَّکِرُوْنَ وَ کُلَّمَا غَفَلَ عَنْ ذِکْرِہِ الْغَافِلُوْنَ
Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin kulla maa dhakaraz-zaakiroon wa kulla maa ghafala ‘an zikrihil ghaafiloon
In Zaad-us-Saeed, it is mentioned that Imam Ismail bin Ibrahim Muzani (رحمه الله) saw Imam Shafi’i (رحمه الله) in a dream after his death. When he asked how Allah dealt with him, Imam Shafi’i replied, “Allah forgave me and granted me honor in Paradise due to the blessings of this Durood.”
Fruits of Paradise
اَللّٰھُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰ مُحَمَّدِنْ عَبْدِ کَ وَ عَلٰی اٰلِ مُحَمَّدِ وَّبَارِکْ وَسَلِّمْ
Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin ‘abdika wa ‘ala aali Muhammadin wa baarik wa sallam
Regular recitation of this Durood Sharif becomes a reason for a person to enjoy the special fruits of Jannah, as stated in Zari’at-ul-Wusool.
Reward for a Thousand Days
صَلَّ اللّٰہُ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدِ وَّ جَزَاہُ عَنَّا مَا ھُوَ اَھْلُہُ
Salla Allahu ‘ala Muhammadin wa jazāhu ‘annā mā huwa ahluhu
Whoever recites this Durood once will have angels writing rewards for one thousand days, as mentioned in Zari’at-ul-Wusool.
The Complete Durood
اَللّٰھُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰ مُحَمَّدِ وَّ عَلٰی اٰلِ مُحَمَّدِنْ
Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin wa ‘ala aali Muhammadin
The Prophet ﷺ once instructed his companions not to recite incomplete Durood. When they asked what the complete Durood was, he taught them this very Durood Shareef.
A Means of Closeness
اَللّٰھُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰ مُحَمَّدِنْ کَمَا تُحِبُّ وَ تَرْضٰی لَہُ
Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin kama tuhibbu wa tardha lahu
Once the Prophet ﷺ seated a man between himself and Abu Bakr (رضي الله عنه). When the companions were surprised, the Prophet ﷺ said, This man recites this Durood upon me frequently.
Recitation After Qunoot
صَلَّی اللہ عَلَی النَّبِیِّ محمدِ وَّسَلِّمْ
Salla Allahu ‘ala an-nabiyyi Muhammadin wa sallam
Hazrat Hasan (رضي الله عنه) used to recite this blessed Durood after Dua-e-Qunoot in prayer.
Equal to Ten Thousand Durood
اللّٰھُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدِنْ اَفْضَلَ صَلَوَاتِکَ
Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin afdala salawātika
It is narrated that reciting this Durood once carries the reward of ten thousand Duroods.
Forgiveness of Eighty Years of Sins
اللّٰھُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدِنْ عَبْدِکَ وَرَسُوْلِکَ النَّبِیِّ اْلاُمِّیِّ
Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin ‘abdika wa rasoolika an-nabiyyil ummiyyi
According to the Prophet ﷺ, whoever recites this Durood eighty times, Allah will forgive eighty years of his sins.
Seventy Thousand Angels Pray for Him
جَزَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنَّا مُحَمَّدَنْ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَ سَلَّمَ مَا ھُوَ اَھْلُہُ
Jazallahu taala ‘anna Muhammadan sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallama ma huwa ahluhu
Whoever recites it will have 70,000 angels praying for his forgiveness for a thousand days, as mentioned in Mu‘jam al-Kabir.
Seeing One’s Place in Paradise
اللّٰھُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدِوَّ اٰلِہٖ اَلْفَ اَلْفَ مَرَّۃِنْ
Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin alfa alfa marratin
Whoever recites this Durood a thousand times on Friday will not die until he has seen his place in Jannah with his own eyes.
Equal to All Other Duroods
اَللّٰھُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدِمْ بِعَدَدِ کُلِّ ذِکْرِہٖ اَلْفَ اَلْفَ مَرَّۃِنْ
Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin bi‘adadi kulli dhikri hi alfa alfa marratin
Reciting this Durood once is equal to sending all types of blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ.
Connection with the Prophet’s Tomb
اَللَّھُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدِن صَلٰوۃَنْ تَکُوْنُ لَکَ رِضَا وَّ لِحَقِّہٖ اَدَاءَنْ
Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin salaatan takoonu laka ridan wa li haqqihi adaa’an
Whoever recites this Durood 33 times after Fajr and Maghrib prayers, Allah will open a spiritual window between his grave and the Prophet’s blessed resting place (Rawda Mubarak), bringing him divine peace.
Healing for Every Pain
اَللَّھُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدِم بِعَدَدِ کِلِّ دَاءِ وَّ دَوَاءِ وَّ بَارِکْ وَسَلِّمْ
Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin bi‘adadi kulli da’in wa dawa’in wa baarik wa sallim
For healing any pain or illness, recite this Durood before and after Surah Al-Fatihah with Bismillah and blow over the affected part. It becomes a spiritual cure.
A Means of Seeing the Prophet ﷺ in Dreams
اَللّٰھُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدِنِ النَّبِیِّ الْاُمِّیِّ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلِّمْ
Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin an-nabiyyil ummiyyi wa aalihi wa sallim
Whoever recites this Durood one thousand times every Friday for five or seven Fridays, will be blessed with seeing the Prophet ﷺ in his dream.
Forgiveness
اَلْحَمْدُلِلّٰہِ عَلٰی کُلِّ حَالِ وَّ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدِ وَّعَلٰی اَھْلِ بَیْتِہٖ
Alhamdu lillahi ‘ala kulli haal, wa salla Allahu ‘ala Muhammadin wa ‘ala ahli baitihi
When a person recites this Durood after sneezing , a bird is created under the Arsh of Allah that prays for his forgiveness .
Darood of the Tabieen
اَللَّھُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدِ وَّعَلٰی اَبِیْنَا اِبْرَاہِیْمَ
Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin wa ‘ala abiinaa Ibrahima
Hazrat Sufyan bin Uyaynah (رحمه الله) said,. For more than seventy years I heard The Tabieen reciting this Durood . while performing Tawaf around the Kabah .
Equal to Sadaqat
اَللّٰھُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدِنْ عَبْدِکَ وَرَسُوْلِکَ وَصَلِّ عَلَی الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ وَالْمُسْلِمِیْنَ وَالْمُسْلِمَاتِ
Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin ‘abdika wa rasoolika wa salli ‘ala al-mu’mineena wal-mu’minaat wal-muslimeena wal-muslimaat
The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever cannot give charity should recite Durood Sharif. It will be counted as charity for him.”
Reward Equal to the Arsh
اللهم صل على محمد ملء السماوات وملء الارض وملء العرش العظيم
Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin ‘ mil ul samaawaati wa mil ul ardi wa mil ul arshil ‘azeem
The one who recites this Durood receives reward as vast as the heavens, the earth, and the mighty Throne (Arsh) of Allah.
Eighty Years of Worship
اللهم صل على محمدنِ النبي الامي وعلى اله وسلم تسليما
Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin an-nabiyyil ummiyyi wa ‘ala aalihi wa sallim tasleema
Whoever recites this Durood eighty times on Friday after the Asr prayer, without leaving his place, will receive eighty years of forgiveness and eighty years of worship reward.
Glad Tidings of a Good End
اللهم صل على محمد وانزله المقعد المقرب عندك يوم القيامۃ
Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin wa anzilhu al-maq‘adal maqarraba ‘indaka yawmal qiyaamah
The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever recites this Durood, my intercession will be guaranteed for him.This is a promise of a blessed ending and salvation.
The Most Excellent Durood
اللهم صل على سيدنا محمدنِ الذي ملاْتَ قلبه من جلالك وعَينَيه من جمالك فاَصْبَحَ فرِحا مسرورا مؤيِدا منصورا
Allahumma salli ‘ala Sayyidina Muhammadin alladhi mala’ta qalbahu min jalaalika wa ‘aynaihi min jamaalika fa asbaha farihan masrooran mu’ayyidan mansooran
Shaykh Abu Abdullah bin Nu‘man (رحمه الله) saw the Prophet ﷺ in a dream and asked, “Which Durood is the best?” The Prophet ﷺ replied, “This very Durood Sharif is the most excellent of all.
Durood e Ibrahimy
اللهم صل على محمد وعلى ال محمد كما صليت على ابراهيم وعلى ال ابراهيم انك حميد مجيد
اللهم بارك على محمد وعلى ال محمد كما باركت على ابراهيم وعلى ال ابراهيم انك حميد مجيد
Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin wa ‘ala aali Muhammadin kama sallayta ‘ala Ibrahima wa ‘ala aali Ibrahima innaka hameedun majeed
Allahumma baarik ‘ala Muhammadin wa ‘ala aali Muhammadin kama baarakta ‘ala Ibrahima wa ‘ala aali Ibrahima innaka hameedun majeed
Indeed this Durood Ibrahimi is the most superior and complete among all Duroods .
